Philosophy & Approach

McCracken Chiropractic & Wellness Center is one of the most complete chiropractic facilities in the Seattle area. Our goal is to provide comprehensive personal care in a safe, healthy, and natural approach to medicine. Rather than treat the symptoms of pain, our focus is on correcting the cause, helping your nervous system to perform at it's best.

Your initial appointment will likely be similar to those with any doctor. We will review your medical history, discuss what has brought you to the office and of course treat you BUT more is coming your way! Dr. McCracken and Dr. Maxwell will provide education and homework for causes and prevention of future issues in addition to a plan of care. They will review the limitations and benefits of chiropractic care, and address any questions/concerns regarding your care within our office.

We have a shared space with 'Roommates' aka additional providers who are amazing at what they do! We work together as a team to offer patients the best care possible. Services offered include physical therapy, massage therapy, naturopathic care, acupuncture, and Rolfing.

Integration of the Graston Technique and Recovery Pump as additional therapy tools are utilized to aid patient's with muscle soreness and a quicker recovery.

Blood Flow Restriction Training

McCracken Chiropractic is proud to offer 'Blood Flow Restriction Training’ (also known as, BFR), for patient rehab and strength building.

Rehab programs are customized for each patient's needs. During each session, patients are given instruction and guidance on form, and monitored throughout the workout to ensure moves are executed properly and effectively.

Before exercises are performed, BFR cuffs are placed proximal to the aspect of the muscle either around the arms, legs, or both. The blood flow is partially restricted via the cuffs throughout the contraction cycle and rest period while exercises are performed. Restriction of blood flow allows for an increase in growth hormone production which, in turn, reduces overall time required for healing.

BFR provides the benefits of high intensity training without the risk of injury. Given the lighter load nature and strengthening capacity of BFR training, it can provide an effective clinical rehabilitation stimulus without the high levels of joint stress and cardiovascular risk associated with heavy-load training."
